Construction Observation

In addition to developing the construction documents, Brad remains very much involved with the client throughout the construction process. This is where establishing a strong relationship among all the team members becomes most important. All the thoughtful effort invested into the development of the design will be for naught if there is a failure in the execution. Therefore, it is customary for Brad to visit the construction site on a regular basis to ensure conformity to the design and specifications. Also, by being available and present on site current and future needs may be addressed more efficiently enabling the construction process to progress more smoothly. Through the coordinated efforts of the design team and observation by the architect throughout the construction process the culmination of labors of each person involved in the project results in a dwelling that is thoughtful in its detail and deliberate in its craftsmanship.

During projects that are being constructed locally, Brad can often be found walking the site on weekends or after the craftsmen have left for the day studying the development of the home.
